At Bodegas Rodero we are committed to caring for the environment. The wine-making world is one of the sectors most affected by climate change and our duty is to carry out all possible measures to combat it.
For this reason, we are working to produce wines that are respectful of nature in a sustainable way. Initially, we decided to equip our winery with a solar energy generation system, through the installation of photovoltaic panels with a rated power of 100 KW, with which we aim to replace the energy consumed in the winery with that obtained from this clean energy source.
We also work with recycled resources to produce our packaging, boxes and labels. The bottles we use at Bodegas Rodero have a high ecological percentage, which we source from two different companies. The rate of recycled glass used to manufacture their bottles is 52 % in one, and 59 % in the other.
When it comes to paper-based boxes and cases, we use packaging made from 70 % recycled materials. The two companies we work with have extensive experience in the cardboard packaging sector in Spain and are strongly committed to sustainability and innovation. To reduce the environmental and social impact of their business operations, they treat the water they use with special care and use raw materials based on resources that protect human health and the environment.
Finally, all the capsules we use in the winery have also been manufactured from reused products. The ones we use to cover our Crianza, Reserva, Pago de Valtarrena and TMS include 50% of recycled materials.
Bodegas Rodero's commitment to the environment is firm. We will continue working to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.
