Pago de Valtarreña by Carmelo Rodero wins a Gold Medal at the 2023 Decanter Awards!
Our flagship wine, Pago de Valtarreña, has been awarded a Gold Medal at the 2023 Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the most globally recognised wine competitions.
This outstanding achievement places Pago de Valtarreña in a select group of just 88 Spanish wines that have earned this distinction, among more than 18,000 entries submitted to the competition. Pago de Valtarreña is a boutique, single-varietal Tempranillo wine that captures the essence of the Rodero family. Among the comments our wine has received, a true reflection of the Ribera del Duero, we highlight its “impressive finish on the palate”, “an incredibly inviting aroma, expressive, laden with umami and black fruit”. A wine that, industry experts say, “will improve with time”.
