We are talking about a very special wine, made with grapes from the single-estate vineyard that gives it its name, Pago de Valtarreña. This winery is characterised by beginning the winemaking process in the vineyard itself, taking the utmost care of every detail to achieve exceptional quality during the harvest of the fruit.
The cherry colour stands out in a bright wine with aromas of black fruits, ripeness and intense coffee. On the palate, it is a fleshy and velvety wine that does not lose its freshness and invites you to continue discovering all its particularities.
The 2020 harvest was a long, very hard campaign, with weather that brought continuous bouts of rain, forcing picking to be halted on several occasions. However, according to the Ribera del Duero Regulatory Council itself, grapes of excellent quality were harvested. It is clear that 2020 will go down in history as a fateful year, but Pago de Valtarreña 2020 arrives to make us see the light in the midst of so much darkness and remind us that what matters, always, is having small reasons to toast with family.
